It was close to a tube station that was on the central line.
There was no wifi - as previously advertised and the staff wasn't very nice about that. Our room was on the 3rd floor, no elevators. Safe was not working. Had to pay a deposit for a hair dryer. The toilet was very cramped.
5 minutes walk from paddington station and not much further to kensington gardens and hyde park. Check in/out was quick and easy, room was clean and comfortable and a good size.
Tea and coffee supplied in room but did not have any milk !!!! Room was very hot but had pedestal fan provided.
Check in not before 2 pm is ridiculous for a small hotel like this. And bunch of housemaids are slowly walking around while you are waiting for your room. Every time we left the hotel we had to leave the key at the reception, First day smell in the alley was awful. Every our step coused noisy floor squeak. We get shampoo and shower gel only first day. Breakfest is very poor with 2 days old croissants.
The location, and comfort of the room. Mine was a good size. Not to have to worry about looking for breakfast was also a great feature.
The number of stairs to get to our room!!! The carpet on the stairs could do with replacement.
i liked it's proximity to the tube station.
The room is nice, clean, and well-furnished with new furniture. equipped with hairdryer, and bed and bath linen are changed daily. Location is excellent too, only a few busstop away, and 1 tube station away from marble arch, the start of Oxford Street.
the breakfast was so-so, with toast, hot beverages and cereals. It's good, but pale in comparison with other B&B I stayed in who serve full english breakfast at comparable room rate.
I like the location, room was clean, bed for two was realy large and comfort. The room was full of facilities: fridge, TV, safe box.
close proximity to paddiington station, there were plenty of towels
no wifi in rooms, needed painting, needed upgrading on bathrooms, beds did not have mattress pads, breakfast was below average quality, no air conditioning/temp adjustment
Great location within walking distance of Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate tube station. Good value for money - everything is provided for, though sometimes you have to ask and the rooms are a bit worn-out.
No elevator, which can be annoyance if your room is on the top floor (mine was on the first - so doable).
The room was basic, but had everything we wanted. There was even a good size fridge, and a safe. Hotel staff were friendly and happy to help. Location was good, close to two tube stations.
The reception was across the road. When dropping the keys in and out you had to cross the road, which could be busty at times, and was inconvinent. There are only stairs, so be aware if you have limited mobility.
The location is excellent and the Sunday night price a bargain. Room was decent size and clean, good to have plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast in large basement area was also very good with a good continental selection.
Only complaint is that the room was surprisingly warm and a bit stuffy even though it was a very cold night and the radiator was turned off. It would have been better for the windows to have been fitted with a restricted opening rather than sealed shut. Overall though this is a good place to stay.
Conveniently placed three minutes walk from Bayswater underground station. Room clean but tired decor. Bathroom and shower good and plenty of hot water.
Is situated on a busy road.Rooms have little noise isolation. Generally tired decor in room.
Good location. Good value. Clean. Friendly staff on reception. Ability to store suitcases at the end of the stay
Breakfast staff. We felt as though we were being watched over breakfast to make sure we only had a limited amount. The one girl was unfriendly when we arrived and complained about her problems to the other member of staff whilst in the kitchen which could be overheard in the dining room. She spoilt what was a very pleasant stay.
Checking in was simple. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but size wasnt an issue for us. Very clean room. Good selection of channels on the tv. Bathroom was very clean. Shower was really nice and warm. Breakfast was simple with cereal, toast, fruit etc. very enjoyable. Would definetly come back.
It was close to Paddington station
It had no front desk and required us to go across the road to get keys. The room was on the first floor and there was no elevator. The room was smelly and dirty and poorly maintained. The shower leaked all over the floor and the carpet in the room got wet which was the smell mentioned earlier. I asked and got, a replacement room after the first night but had to take all our baggage across the road and then back again that afternoon. The second room was similar to the first but the shower was much better so no smell. There was no wi-fi unless you wanted to go to the common area and, yep, it was across the road. Some of the staff tried to be helpful but others were quite dismissive. All in all a poor experience.
